Mid-States Carbide, Inc. sharpens and repairs carbide tipped
saws, groover's, Hoggers and Dado sets for the wood, plastic
and non-ferrous metal industries. We can sharpen standard and
custom blades up to 30 inches in diameter. We follow a 5 step
sharpening process.

1.) INSPECTION - After cleaning, all saw blades are thoroughly
inspected to determine needed repair work.

2.) TIP REPLACEMENT - If needed, new tips are brazed on
with high strength silver alloys, then precisely ground to match
existing tips.

3.)RETENSIONING & STRAIGHTENING - Our  tension and
inspection machines are the finest in the state. We also use a
power roller tension machine to get exact and uniform tension
each and every time.

4.) SHARPENING - Our 8 CNC and numerical controlled
automatic saw grinding machines are used for precision
sharpening of each tooth on the top and face.

5.) CLEANING, POLISHING & INSPECTION - To assure
customer satisfaction, every blade is cleaned, polished and
given a final inspection before being gently coated with oil to
prevent any rusting, we then dip each blade into a wax
compound to assure the saw blades safety during shipping.
